Bringing Out the Best in Man's Best Friend

Chambers K9 Training

Let’s train your dog.

Advocating for better relationships between man and his best friend.

I've had several dogs over the last decade or so and each of them have taught me different things- and tested my patience. Especially Remy.   Remy would dig, in the yard AND in the trash. And he loved people, specifically jumping all over them and bullying his way to getting pet, but you couldn’t say he didn’t love people. Other dogs wouldn't stop barking, didn't like other dogs, or had issues with house breaking. I KNOW how frustrating dogs can be.

But I also know how rewarding they can be.

They’re the first ones to notice when you’re having a dump of a day, the last ones to say goodbye when you leave for work, and they’re there to listen to your craziest dreams and your biggest heartbreaks (shout out to Remy, the best therapist/roommate ever). That's why I got in to dog training- to make sure that no one misses a game of fetch or a dog pile with the whole family because Fido won’t stop chewing your kid’s brand new KD’s or barking at the really fancy new laundry basket you love that has wheels and he now believes its the enemy because it moved once. All true stories.

Every dog deserves a chance at a family, and every family deserves a chance at a dog. And Chambers K9 can make that a beautiful friendship.

Training Programs

Puppy Obedience

This is the basic “how to train your puppy” course. How to house train, how to stop him from biting, how to teach your dog how to sit. Almost a “how to dog” in the house. We’ll help you build engagement, get him on a potty schedule so he doesn’t pee on your rug for the 100th time, and get him obeying commands like “sit” and “down” like a champ. And we’ll help you teach that little shark how to stop tearing up your pillows and hands.

Basic Obedience

This course is for the dog who just needs a little help. A “how to get my dog to stop jumping” or “how to get my dog to sit and stay” kind of deal for your Fido who loves doing his own thing when you need him to just listen. We’ll teach him to sit and stay sitting even if a whole plate of bacon drops a few feet away, he’ll walk with you (beside you!) regardless of the amount of squirrels, raccoons, or yipe-y dogs without pulling or overreacting. He’ll learn how to down and hold it, even if the plumber comes to the door.

Signature Program

This course is for the dog who wants it all. We start off with basics, then teach him off leash. He will come when called, and we mean WHEN CALLED, regardless of distraction. He will lay down on command, even when you’re 40 feet apart and another dog is barking madly. He’ll know not to run through doors, how to sit and stay even if the cat is taunting him. Does he run the fence and bark at the dog on the other side of it? Not anymore! Counter surfing? Nope. He’ll walk by your side regardless of having a leash on or not. And when we’re done, not only will you have a solid dog, but you’ll be a lifetime member of Chambers K9 Training’s Pack. This gets you free access to meet ups, pack walks, and group classes in order to maintain your dog’s great behavior. An off leash trained dog is a dog that gets more access to hiking trails, beaches, and family trips.

Board & Train

This course is everything the signature program offers, but WE do the hard part. We’ll pick up your dog, get him all set up from sit to off leash recall. We’ll work on the problem areas you need help with, too. Jumping on guests? Nope. Howling at the dog across the street? Not anymore! And when we bring him home to you, we’ll spend three weeks helping both of you get acclimated to your dog’s new way of doing things and you’ll get reap the benefits of a dog who listens, knows how to be calm, and can walk the block, or the beach with you without any worry of reactivity or running off. This program also includes lifetime membership in Chambers K9 Training’s Pack, where you’ll get to interact with well behaved dogs on pack walks, hikes, or group training sessions to discover even more engaging ways to interact with your dog.
